The star tetrahedron, also called a mer-ka-ba (light-spirit-body), is a configuration formed within the first 8 cells of life. The merkaba is said to be a VEHICLE of consciousness. Arranging 8 merkabas together creates this 64-tetrahedron grid matrix, a perfectly balanced geometry that is theorized to be the underlying structure of the vacuum, the fabric of space. The number 8 represents stability so by squaring this energy, 64 tetrahedrons form the greatest stability.

- 64 hexagrams in the I Ching

- after conception, 64 is the maximum number of cells during cell division before they begin to differentiate

The grid is an extension of the Vector Equilibrium (VE), a geometric structure described by Buckminster Fuller, which represents perfect equilibrium and energy balance.
